The moon will appear bigger and brighter tonight than it usual does!!
Though it is still over 300,000 km (10+5) up in the sky, it will appear fuller because it will be at perigree which is the nearest point on its elliptical orbit around earth – about 50,000 km (10+4) closer. Next time there will be a Super Moon will be in about 20 years!
