We can consider the power 10+13 from multiple perspectives.  A few of many examples are listed below:

  • Surface area of Antarctica, Russia, Africa and the moon (14, 17, 30 and 38 megameters2 respectively)
  • Total wealth (as of 2010) of the 10.9 million people in the world with $1 million or more of investable assets
  • Diameter of our solar system (2.69 x 10+13 meters, according to Universe Today)
  • Number of human cells in the body (as opposed to bacteria cells, of which there are 10+14)
  • Energy from an average thunderstorm (3.6×1013 joules)
